Tony Bornhorst of Shelby County was recognized with the Ohio Pork Industry Excellence Award at the 2010 Ohio Pork Congress held in Columbus on Feb. 10. Bornhorst was selected for his willingness to give his time, money and talent to the promotion of pork on a local, state and national level.

Tony was recognized in 1988 as Pork All-American, and in 2000 Bornhorst Brothers were named the Ohio and National Environmental Stewardship Award winners. Tony's time while involved in the pork industry was a busy one. Tony is a past president of the Ohio Pork Producers Council and served on the Board for 11 years. He has also served on the Pork Congress Committee, Membership Committee, Demand Enhancement Committee, and the Swine Health Advisory Committee.
